About Me

My name is Virginia, and I live in New Orleans with my husband and three children. I believe that way we are born and our earliest years impact us deeply. Neurobiologically, psychologically, and physically. The conditions of that window in time create invisible threads, patterns, and beliefs that take the driver's seat in our present day lives - whether we like it or not.

And so, I want to create better conditions for children being born into this world. And to help people of all ages locate and release the most tangled threads that aren't serving them. After many years trying many things, therapeutic breathwork is the simplest, most powerfully accessible and efficient tool I've found to create profound change. And I'm so honored to share it with others.

I'm trained in Birth and Postpartum Doula Care (through Whapio the Matrona & BirthWorks International), Death Doula Care (through Sacred Crossings), Reiki II (with Amanda Fresh), and as a Therapeutic Breathworker (through Transformations USA, a founding member of the Global Professional Breathwork Alliance - the international organization for Professionalism, Ethics, and Training Standards in Breathwork).

Nothing has brought me more joy or taught me more than diving into motherhood. Each of my births and children has taught me new lessons and shown me what I needed to give myself. I reject the narrative that motherhood must involve suffering and sacrifice, and am working on bringing more ease and delight to this experience for myself and others. I hope to empower and inspire you to make space for the same.

Nobody mentioned that, while caring for my tender newborn, I would also be tender and newborn. Mothers, too, need and deserve respectful, loving care. And yes, child rearing does, indeed, take a village. Virginia was my caring village.

Virginia is an experienced mother, birth professional, and doula; most of all, however, she was the person I knew I could turn to for support, advice, and truth during those most vulnerable days of my early parenting journey.
